Speckled Kingsnake Consuming a Yellowbelly Racer (1 of 8)
As I walked along, flipping a few rocks in this open area, something caught my eye just ahead in the grass. I immediately processed that I was looking at a Speckled Kingsnake, but then that moment of confusion hit. Something strange was definitely going on. I "untangled" it all pretty quickly and hollered for Marc to come up the hill. We watched for the next 10 minutes as the King made quick work of its meal.
