This Cottonmouth cooperated nicely in giving me a few defensive-posture pics... That is, of course, after I tonged it in its attempt to escape into the brush, pulled it out into the open, and pestered it a good bit. In real life, if someone were to harass this snake as much as I did before it turned to "biting mode", they deserve to get bitten!
(Not as obvious is that this snake has recently eaten and was out basking/digesting when spotted from the bridge above the creek.)
