5-29-07 (Small)
Had to go to Mulberry today, so I took old 71 Highway. Found this timber rattlesnake around mile marker 17, 2 miles north of the dam. It was in the middle of the road and as you can see, it looks like a fresh kill. Someone had cut off the head and rattle. They had to go out of their way to run over it. I hate to see this, the snake was in excellent condition. Time was 11:45 AM, 5-29-07, temperature was low 70's and overcast.
