I pulled over thinking I was going to take some quick data for the Arkansas Natural Heritage Commission's box turtle survey when I did a double-take...Ornate!!!! I had been hoping to find one in Benton County for a long time. Too bad it had to be a DOR, but it does at least confirm they occur in the area. Maybe next time I'll find one alive.
